F. Barnett (June 19, 1951- September 2, 2018) was born to the late Charlie E.
and Margaret F. White in Chesapeake, VA. She was married to Ronald E. Barnett, Sr., and together they had six children. She resided in
Norfolk, VA for over forty-five years and was a retiree of the City of Norfolk's Finance Department.
Barnett accepted her calling into the gospel ministry in 1979 and was licensed

Abyssinia, Dr. Barnett served as Interim Pastor at Holy Temple EC Church after
being ordained in September, 1986 by Bishop C. Harris. In May, 1987, God gave
her a vision and revelation to begin her ministry at Immanuel FCOD. God gave
her the vision for Immanuel Free Church of Deliverance and its name.
Immanuel: meaning God with us; Free: free to serve the Lord in spirit of
liberty and truth; Church of Deliverance: a deliverance ministry to heal the
sick and set captives free. God moved the ministry into more areas of the
worship experience, evangelism, missions and Outreach for the Ocean View
community and international connections. In 2010 God gave Immanuel a new
mission and vision for the church which led to changing the name to include
Worship Ministries and International.

of Immanuel Worship & Deliverance Ministries, IN’T for more
than 30 years. Dr. Barnett was an advocate for higher education. She attended
